The Chiefs welcomed the nice weather Wednesday and posted some of their better scores this season, but they still came up a tad short to Allatoona at Governors Town Club in Acworth. Sequoyah’s senior captain, Hunter Clay, was slow out of the gate, but finished the final 6 holes 3 under par. His strong finish earned him low man honors for the Chiefs and he looks to be getting into a nice groove. Thomas Brumbeloe was just a couple of shots back barely missing a hole in one on the final hole. Ryan Wakefield also carded a birdie on the 190 yard par three #9 as he put his tee shot within a few feet of the cup. Joseph Trlica completed the top four scorers, and Brock O’Connor and Collier Pecht also posted very respectable scores.
The Chiefs look to get back on the winning track Thursday against Lassiter at Brookfield CC in Roswell.
